Some of you know, I am a large supporter of full UFO disclosure. I have voiced my opinions on different websites, forums, expos, radio talk shows, and here at Weirld. If asked, I always give you my straight opinion topics as I see them. Well, I think I may have hit the bigtime now. Meaning, I may be higher up on the secret (Not so secret) watch lists of UFO troublemakers. Follow me for a minute on my journey over the last few weeks.
It started April 30, 2010, it was a normal Friday, work, pick up my son, etc. We decided to go on a trip up north (North meaning God's country, Michigan). We packed up and headed out. Everything was fine till we got to our exit in Michigan. Pulled off the freeway with a Police Officer right behind us. No big deal, I thought, I wasn't breaking the law or anything. He turns on his flashers, I pull over and he comes to the window. I hand him all the paperwork and my DL. He says he will be right back with me.
In about 10 minutes the officer returns and asks me to step out of the car. I do as he asks, he takes me back behind my car and proceeds to tell me my DL is suspended and that I have to go to the station with him. I get pretty heated now becasue my DL is not suspended and proceeded to prove it by pulling up the Ohio BMV website on my iPhone. I punched in my DL # and SS# and it came back tieh my driving record and said my DL was valid. The officer called his Sergeant at the station, who proceeded to read him the riot act and to bring me in. To make this part a little shorter, called my dad and a friend to come get my car and loan me cash to bond myself out with.
At the station, they proceeded to book me like I was some common criminal. They followed protocol to a T. Ask me how I know. Cause I train police officers and fire fighters. Which I find amusing, to have the position and career I have with the security clearances and such, I have to maintain a good driving record. Moving along, I was photographed, finger printed, etc. I asked the officer if the records will be destroyed once I come back with all the paperwork from Ohio stating my DL is valid. He responded that they won't delete the records, but no one will have access to them except for the police department. When he said that, I almost laughed out loud. Once you're in the system, any government agency can access them. (Not that I wasn't in some systems anyway for the nuclear power plants and refineries I have conducted business in anyway).
I bonded myself out, went back to Ohio and retrieved a new DL and official driving record from the DMV. I returned to the courthouse because they gave me a 14 day windo to appear. I went to the clerks window, showed her my ticket and bond reciept to get my bond back and clear up any issues. She attempted to find me in their system, which I wasn't there. She tried calling the police station and the officer that booked me and got no assistance. She turned me over to her boss who went through looking for my ticket in their system. She did find my bond money on her search, but never the ticket. She came back with the copy of the ticket I gave her and stated that I would have to appear again on the 19th of May. That there was nothing she could do about the ticket, even though I had all the paperwork that showed my innocence. Having the German temper I do, enough was enough. I asked her if it was the American way to treat me as guilty till proven innocent? Told her I would return with my lawyer and asked for her name and everyone elses name associated with my case cause I wanted to place charges, or sue the court for my lost time and wages to prove my innocence.
I was sharing my story with some friends of mine in the same UFO / Paranormal arena. Most of them are of the opinion that I was marked for something. That the government wanted a recent picture and set of prints from me, in case of any scars or marking I may have gotten. A couple acquaintences of mine figure it is linked to this website, as I am one of the admins, and some of the events and radio shows I have done. So maybe I have made it to the 'BigTIme' now. Maybe I am considered more of a threat to release info to the masses through Twitter and Weirld then I thought I was. All I know for sure is that the system failed. I'm guilty to proven innocent! Even though on the night of my arrest, I showed the officer on the Ohio BMV website that I was innocent, that there was some mistake in their computers.
One last item, which is kind of a sweet twist of karma or fate or whatever you call it. I did provide assistance to a lady in distress not one hour after I was released from the jail.
