UFO's have always been a fascination of mine, and when one is reported near my hometown, I get a little excited. Michigan is known to have many UFO sightings every year, especially over the water of the Great Lakes. In fact, in my college days, I sighted one over Lake Michigan that freaked out the people I was with, but that's a story for another time.

On September 11, 2011, a UFO was sighted by a couple witnesses on Ford Road in Wyandotte. The witnesses described the sighting as a 'rocket launching in Western Michigan and travelling high over the skies toward Windsor, ON. The UFO seemed to change color from red to orange to red'. MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) Case #31759 gives the exact witness account of this UFO sighting.

Looking into this report, while the witnesses claim it didn't look like an airplane, it could probably be explained as some kind of aircraft. The US Government has many different aircraft that they use today. Any one of them could explain what the witnesses saw. I wasn't to impressed with the report, till I read the next report from MUFON.

MUFON Case #31768 gives an account of another UFO sighting in Michigan on the same day. Witnesses reported seeing cylinder type objects floating just above the tree tops and moving slowly. These cylinders seemed to change from red to orange to yellow before they disappeared into the sky. The report did not give the location of the sighting, just that it occurred in Michigan. What stood out to me was the color. Both witnesses reported seeing the UFO change color between red and orange.

Covered in the same MUFON report was a second set of witnesses that claimed to see flaming cylinders in the skies travelling to the Northeast. According to the report, these UFOs looked like the flames of a hot air balloon, except there was no balloon and no basket. We know that flames can change between red and orange as they burn. This falls in line with the other two accounts above. Could all three of these be related?

Personally, I like to think these accounts are related. They describe UFOs that changed color from red to orange and occurred on the same night in the same state.

In my 10 plus years of UFO research, I have found that the Great Lakes are a very UFO Active area. Most nights over Lake Erie glowing orbs or balls can be seen dancing around. In fact, there are many videos on YouTube of these lights. I have written about the Lake Erie UFOs in an earlier article on Weird. Lake Huron and Lake Michigan both have reports of silvery colored objects moving over them during the day and glowing yellow/red orbs at night.

Have you seen a UFO over Wyandotte? Michigan? I'd love to hear about it. Leave a comment below.
