Hey everyone, I'm headed to Western Australia this weekend and I'm staying there for a solid 2 weeks. In the 14 days I will be there, I will try to discover all the mysteries and paranormal places I can find in the outback. There are a few places I definitely plan on visiting--so hopefully, I can make part of my trip to Oz a dedicated paranormal investigation. I will have a blog post about  an Australian native man named Jandamarra and the story about a creepy place called Tunnel Creek and why native women refuse…

Not even a few fear-inducing close encounters can deter Nick Groff from his chosen mission: gathering paranormal evidence at the country’s most notoriously haunted locations with co-investigators Zak Bagans and Aaron Goodwin on Travel Channel’s Ghost Adventures.  As the trio prepares to launch the series’ fourth season with a triple location lockdown in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on Sept. 17, Nick called in from his home in Las Vegas to talk about the latest investigations, his scariest moments, and share some ghost hunting secrets.

This story begins when I was around 16 years old. One of my older sisters was moving out of my parent's house and going off to college. That meant I could finally have my own room. Why was I so excited about my own room? Well, when you have a twin brother, every day is shared with another person--especially when you share a room! Not to say that I don't enjoy my brother's company, it's just that everyone looks forward to their own privacy. So, finally, after 16 years of sharing a room, I was…

Over the last year, I have told you about the encounters I have had with different apparitions in my life--most notably ‘Boy’, the entity that interacted with my oldest son. You can read more about ‘Boy’ and my encounters with him in the weirld archives. As some of our readers know, I have had some major life changes over the past three months: divorce; now remarried to a beautiful woman; shuffling residences; and the birth of my new son. I want to focus on one event that happened at the house in Michigan that freaked…

To mention a doppelgänger to someone, it often strikes fear, brings up images of soon coming death.  Let’s begin with, what is a doppelganger?  In German, doppelgänger means ‘double goer’.  In today’s English it is defined as a double of someone.  An exact copy, if you will.  Some people may notice, out of the corner of their eye, a reflection of themselves where a reflection should not be.  When they turn to look, it is gone.  This is often referred to as that persons doppelganger.  A Doppelganger is also referred to as our twin, another…

This is a question I have been pondering and thinking about for the last couple months when I first saw 'Boy' in my house.  Can a ghost of a kid really exist?  My Christian upbringing tells me that isn't possible. Yet, I have talked with psychics and demonologists that both agree and disagree.  Come with me on a journey through my mind to find an answer, if the answer exists.

Just in time for Halloween, Travel Channel’s Ghost Adventures crew—Zak Bagans, Nick Groff and Aaron Goodwin—are participating in what promises to be a pretty scary situation: they’ll be locked inside an infamously haunted insane asylum for seven hours starting on 8PM on Oct.30.  The trio will be locked inside the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston, West Virginia, which housed violent criminals and other inmates from the 1860s to 1994, when it was shut down, and many of these dangerous spirits are said to still prowl its dark hallways.  Our own Gerri Miller gets the scoop…

Chernobyl - the very mention of this name brings up thoughts of the disaster that occured.  In my work outside of the paranormal, I have heard stories that are just horrible.  Stories of the Russian government paying people a lifetimes wages to go spend 10 minutes near the reactor throwing rocks on it trying to cover it up.  Little did those people know they would only be able to enjoy that money for a couple days as they recieved lethal doses of radiation.  Basically, they cooked their insides, like they were in a microwave.  Sad.

'The Ridges" is probably the most famous 'haunted' place in Ohio.  There have been many articles, books, stories, blogs, videos and ghost hunts conducted in this area.  All trying to get video, pictures, proof that ghosts exist and that this area is extremely volatile when it comes to paranormal activity.  The institution is now located on Ohio University's main campus in Athens, Ohio.  Picture this, a major university right where the most paranormal activity in Ohio happens.  Coincidence?
