The news has been abuzz lately with reports that there is indisputable proof that the Yeti is real. The Yeti is claimed to be a human-like creature that inhabits the Himalayas. This creature is thought to be a relative to the American Sasquatch and the Siberian Abominable Snowman.

Igor Burtsev, a leader at the conference on Yeti's, said about 30 Yeti's are living in the Kemerovo Region of Russia. It is believed that they are surviving ancestors of the Neanderthal men that lived in the region long ago. The proof discovered is a few grayish hairs, footprints and an apparent 'bed' of the Yeti.yeti-footprint

Now, the research team is not claiming 100% that the Yeti exists. Although, they are saying that they are 95% certain. The doubters are weighing there evidence as inconsequential due to the lack of DNA proof.

I wrote a while back about some other evidence that was recovered by a friend of Weirld, Josh Gates of Destination Truth. In 2007, while filming an episode in the Nepal region of the Himalayas, the Destination Truth team came across some footprints. Most skeptics claimed that these were just bear prints.

Now, due to my personal experiences, I believe that the Yeti and Sasquatch are real. Being a natural skeptic about most cryptid claims, I realize that for the world to believe a specimen needs to be presented. Tangible evidence of the creatures existence, a body, blood sample, live creature, etc. Maybe, one day, soon we will have that evidence.

DO you have a Bigfoot / Yeti experience?  We at Weirld would love to hear your story.
