Thousands of People Will Test Their Psychic Powers This Week on Twitter.

E-mail Print PDF

From the Telegraph.co.uk:

"In the first scientific experiment to be conducted via the social messaging service, experts will investigate "remote viewing" - the psychic ability to identify distant locations.

Members of the public will be asked to "tweet" their impressions of a randomly chosen spot in the UK visited by one of the researchers.

Then they will vote for which of five photographs on a website shows where the visitor was standing.

The trial will be repeated with visually different locations four times.

If at the end of the experiment the votes correctly identify at least three targets, it will support the existence of extra-sensory perception.

Study leader psychologist Professor Richard Wiseman, from the University of Hertfordshire, who specialises in investigating psychic phenomena, said: "Personally, I'm sceptical, but three hits would be against odds of one in 125, which would be quite impressive."

Is Little Boy Reincarnated WWII Fighter Pilot or Part of Elaborate Hoax?

E-mail Print PDF

From ABCNEWS.com:

"Six decades ago, a 21-year-old Navy fighter pilot on a mission over the Pacific was shot down by Japanese artillery. His name might have been forgotten, were it not for 6-year-old James Leininger.

Quite a few people — including those who knew the fighter pilot — think James is the pilot, reincarnated.

James' parents, Andrea and Bruce, a highly educated, modern couple, say they are "probably the people least likely to have a scenario like this pop up in their lives."

But over time, they have become convinced their little son has had a former life.

Newfoundland Sea Monsters

E-mail Print PDF

Aquatic Cryptids have been a fascination of mine since I was a young boy.  I love to swim and love everything about the water.  I even cried and made my parents send money to the 'Save the Whales' foundation after I saw one of their commercials on TV!

So today, I stumbled across an article that really grabbed my attention.  This article is from The Telegram in Newfoundland and written by Hans Rollman. It describes all the various sea monsters and aquatic cryptics that have been seen in the waters by Newfoundland and Labrador.

Enjoy!

Failed Doomsday Predictions

E-mail Print PDF

I just finished reading a great article on failed 'Doomsday' predictions.  It kind of puts the whole '2012' prediction into context.  Throughout history, religions and some secular groups have used the coming 'End' to try to control the masses.  The whole 'you better do this before...' way of getting people to act the way you want them too.  I'm not here to bash on anyones beliefs, as I have some of my own.  I just wanted to put the 2012 predictions into some better context.  Even Mayans are saying it is not an End World prediction, but rather the beginning of an new 'Enlightenment'.

Bejamin Radford, a columnist from Livescience.com could not have wrote a better article on the subject of failed doomsday predictions.  I have included it in the read more section for my audience.
